DY Concrete Pumps

[ Alvarado, TX ]

It’s been said that everything is bigger in Texas – including the commitment to quality, service, and craftsmanship. At the fifth stop of the 2025 Texas tour, the AEM Manufacturing Express rolled into Alvarado to spotlight DY Concrete Pumps, a powerhouse that’s reshaping the concrete pumping industry from the ground up.

Founded by pump operators and owners, DY Concrete Pumps was built with first-hand knowledge of the challenges that contractors face in the field and a commitment to building lasting relationships through trust, performance, and support. In 2015, DY Concrete Pumps was introduced to the North American market with a clear vision: to combine high-quality machines with dependable, responsive service.

As demand grew, DY set its sights on expansion and in 2021, found a new home in Alvarado, Texas. Nestled just south of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Alvarado is the oldest city in Johnson County, known for a strong work ethic and tight-knit community. The move wasn’t just about geography; it was strategic. Texas’ central location, growing manufacturing base, and skilled workforce made it the ideal hub for DY’s next chapter.

DY stands apart as a true one-stop shop. Their 12-acre campus houses a 7,000-square-foot parts warehouse that stocks components for all brands of concrete pumps – not just their own. That approach has made them an indispensable partner for mixed fleets across the country. When downtime equals lost revenue, DY’s ability to ship parts the same day, even getting them on a plane, gives customers the speed and service they can’t find anywhere else.

But it’s not just about keeping machines running; it’s about doing it with style and precision. DY’s facility was quite literally built around what is now the largest paint booth in the South, allowing them to offer high-quality baked finishes in any custom branding customers want. Their paint team is retrained annually on the latest equipment and techniques, resulting in what they proudly call “the best paint quality in the industry.”

DY builds and inspects 75 units per year on-site, with each one tested for stability and boom performance before it leaves the lot. From driveline construction to remote certifications, the team handles nearly everything in-house, ensuring every pump is job-site ready the moment it’s delivered.

Behind the scenes, DY is investing just as heavily in its people as it is in its products. There’s no traditional school for concrete pump manufacturing, so DY has committed to building a hands-on, in-house training program that supports long-term career growth.

But they know culture is just as critical. Over the past few years, leadership has worked intentionally to create an environment that employees want to be in – a place where people take pride in their work, enjoy their day-to-day, and see a future for themselves. Team members wearing DY gear out in public isn’t just about branding; it’s a reflection of that pride.

In Alvarado, manufacturing means opportunity – to build, grow, and leave a mark. And at DY Concrete Pumps, that opportunity is poured into everything they do. They’re not just manufacturing machines; they’re laying the groundwork for roads, schools, hospitals, and skyscrapers. With every unit that rolls off their lot, DY is building a future rooted in craftsmanship and pride.
