Anderson UnderBridge

[ Greenville, TX ]

Close to 23 million Texans, half of Texas’ population, live within the Texas Triangle – the region between Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston. The area’s large population creates a constant, growing need for reliable and safe infrastructure. In fact, there are over 3,000 bridges in Dallas County alone.

This is where a small company from York, South Carolina has come to make its mark: Anderson UnderBridge. The company manufactures the Anderson Hydra Platform, a one-of-its-kind under bridge work platform built for heavy-duty inspections, utility installs, and safe access. The Anderson Hydra Platform is designed to take workers from the top of the bridge to over the side and under more safely and efficiently than with scaffolding or bucket trucks.

Nothing quite demonstrates the need for the Anderson Hydra Platform like the High Five Interchange: a massive five-level freeway interchange that goes as high as a 12-story building right within the city limits. Many people do not realize the rigorous inspections that such bridges require, including DOT inspections once every two years. According to Lance Wheeler, Anderson UnderBridge’s Territory Manager for the South Central Region, this was the inspiration for the company taking the step of opening Anderson UnderBridge’s new training center in Greenville, Texas.

Anderson UnderBridge opened the facility to be closer to its many clients who occupy the Texas Triangle. On August 4, the Manufacturing Express joined the Greenville Chamber of Commerce for a grand opening ceremony, complete with a green ribbon-cutting, to welcome the newest business in town.

Anderson UnderBridge CEO Jamie Roush is joined by other company leaders and members of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce as they cut the green ribbon.

“From our roots in York, South Carolina, a small town with big ambitions, we’ve grown into a national brand trusted across the country by those who build and protect our nation’s bridges.” said Jamie Roush, CEO of Anderson UnderBridge, “We’ve built that reputation not just through our equipment, but through our people who stand behind it: the engineers, welders, sales teams, and service technicians who all take pride in every unit that rolls out.”

Anderson UnderBridge may be a small company with only 63 employees nationwide, but with its large fleet of platforms available for rent or purchase, its impact on the safety of the nation’s infrastructure cannot be overstated. Innovations like the Anderson Hydra Platform, which quietly powers progress, keeps our roads, bridges, and communities safe every day. In an industry where safety and access are everything, Anderson is setting the gold standard – one bridge at a time.
