The AEM Manufacturing Express made our first stop in the Magnolia State this afternoon. The bus arrived to celebrate with the men and women at Krone North America, who all contribute to the almost 25,000 equipment manufacturing jobs our industry supports in Mississippi.
Krone’s Olive Branch facility has a small but mighty workforce of just over 50 people building and distributing more than 300 agricultural machines per year. From disc mowers to road balers, Krone’s equipment supports farmers and agriculture across North America. Krone is a fourth-generation, family-owned agricultural equipment manufacturer based in Germany. Since 1897, Krone has been creating hay and forage harvesting equipment, including high-capacity mower conditioners, disc mowers, rotary tedders and rakes, round balers, large square balers, and a full range of forage harvesters. Today, the company employs more than 4,500 associates globally, including 160 in the United States.
“Krone is engineered with the highest quality standards that support farmers, large and small, across North America. The team in Mississippi is not just helping bring these products to more customers each year, but plays an important role in helping to feed families worldwide,” said Parts Manager at Krone North America Jonathan Cole. Krone is committed to putting the customer at the center of every product it creates, from cultivating their relationships directly with the farms that depend on their equipment to supporting a robust network of 400+ dealers across North America. Whether serving large-scale commercial operations or small, family-owned farms, Krone’s business is rooted in centuries of trust and a stellar reputation within the agricultural community in the U.S. and around the world.
Krone has taken great care to preserve the same family-owned mindset and founding principles for employees and customers. This commitment helps them to foster a work environment where every person understands their value. Even as Krone looks to expand its footprint across North America, it holds onto the relationships with its customers and dealers that have allowed it to support America’s agricultural community for decades.
As our team left Krone (full from Memphis Style BBQ, courtesy of local joint Commissary BBQ), it was easy to see the vital role that everyone at Krone plays in the Mississippi equipment manufacturing community—and the commitment to excellence that the U.S. team at Krone will continue to uphold for many years to come.
