BOMAG

[ Ridgeway, SC ]

It was a family affair as the Manufacturing Express arrived at the BOMAG North American headquarters in Ridgeway, South Carolina. We were honored to be a part of BOMAG’s annual Family Day to celebrate employees and their families. This year’s event was especially memorable, featuring a lively on-site carnival complete with giveaways, face painting and even a dunk tank, which provided a much needed relief from the South Carolina sun.

BOMAG AMERICAS President, Brian Bieller, welcomes families to the 2024 Annual BOMAG Family Day.

BOMAG has plenty of reasons to celebrate. They’re a global leader in the field of compaction technology. With a portfolio boasting 250 variations of equipment, BOMAG equipment is used in projects ranging from road construction to dam building. BOMAG’s specialty in vibratory rollers has literally paved the way for innovation and growth within the industry, changing the way asphalt is paved.

Founded in 1957 in Boppard, Germany, BOMAG quickly began expanding internationally, reaching new global markets by 1961. In just 13 years, the company established themselves as the leading supplier in the vibratory roller industry worldwide. Today, BOMAG operates in four countries with a network of more than 400 dealers across 150 countries. Their impact, however, goes beyond the number of products they’ve sold. BOMAG equipment is essential in building the roads that connect communities, drive economic development and create opportunities for countless populations.

A BOMAG decal is added to the Manufacturing Express bus, clearly displaying their commitment to the Equipment Manufacturing industry.

BOMAG has been proud to call South Carolina home since opening their North American headquarters in Ridgeway in 2014. South Carolina’s business friendly environment and support of equipment manufacturing has been instrumental in their growth. “We are pleased to be there in South Carolina. We have great culture and great employees,” said BOMAG AMERICAS President, Brian Bieller. Since opening in Ridgeway in 2014, BOMAG’s business has tripled–a testament to their commitment to fostering a culture rooted in integrity, transparency and responsibility.

BOMAG’s commitment to sustainability is unwavering and integrated into every facet of the company. After all, a more sustainable future for the construction industry starts with the equipment. That’s why BOMAG focuses on employing innovative technologies that enhance performance and environmental stewardship in their machines, such as alternative drives that reduce emissions.

Beyond making equipment that lasts longer, BOMAG also focuses on being a company people can grow in. BOMAG prioritizes the development of young workers into company leaders, providing them with opportunities to grow professionally and personally through driver safety training, language courses and sports activities. BOMAG understands that building a better future begins from within, nurturing their workforce as the foundation for their long-term success.

In the equipment manufacturing industry, the contributions of employees and their families are a deeply valued cornerstone. It is their dedication that drives the company’s success and BOMAG is grateful to celebrate all of their contributions. Today’s annual family day reflects the company’s appreciation for hard work and support that goes into making BOMAG a leader in the industry. Today’s event was a reminder that behind every piece of equipment, there are people and families whose efforts deserve to be celebrated.
